Add a text by hand

Paste a text a rider sent to your phone, or type one to try the app out. It shows up in “Rider texts” as if it came in. Nothing is sent to anyone.

Show rider texting on dashboard
Off: the dashboard is just trips, the driver map and Settings. On: brings back the rider texts list, the reply box and texting a rider when you send a trip.

You don’t need this. The dashboard works fully without it: create trips, schedule them, and track the driver. This is only if you ever want riders’ texts to show up here automatically (needs an Android phone).

How to connect (5 minutes, free)

On your Android phone, open sms-gate.app and tap Download App. Open the downloaded file to install SMS Gateway for Android (if Android asks, allow installing apps from your browser).
Open the app and allow it to send and read SMS.
Turn on Cloud server, then tap the Offline button at the bottom so it changes to Online.
The app now shows a Username and Password under Cloud server. Type them below and press Connect.
Keep the app running and turn off battery saving for it (Settings → Apps → SMS Gateway → Battery → Unrestricted). Texts to your number will now show up here, and your replies go out from your own number.

The app already connects securely with a private link. If you also want signed webhooks, copy the signing key from the app (Settings → Webhooks → Signing Key) here.

Manual setup: Connect registers this webhook for you. If you ever need to add it by hand, the event is sms:received and the URL is:

Remind the driver this many minutes before pickup

The driver hears about a scheduled trip the moment you create it, sees it all day at the top of his page, and gets a second beep this long before pickup (when his page is open).
